We are looking for Finance and Administration Manager to oversee the finance, administrative, human resource and technology functions of small and growing company. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized, intellectually curious and multitasking individual proficient in Quickbooks and administrative systems such as payroll processing and timekeeping systems. In this role, you will be an essential part of the firm's senior leadership team. This position reports to the CEO, works closely with the firm's President, and helps advise the management team overseeing client accounts. Understanding of state contracting processes and systems is helpful.

The ideal candidate can:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Work closely with the President and CEO as part of the senior management team.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of financial standards.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance and administration department including:

  • Bi-weekly and year-end finance processes
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Payroll processing and employee benefits
  • Budgeting and cash forecasting
  • Processing checks and deposits
  • Maintaining inventory of fixed assets
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Review purchase orders, budget spreadsheets, and ensure contract fiscal compliance
  • Assist agency leaders with recruiting, hiring, training, and onboarding new employees
  • Manage the timekeeping system and use data to help project managers and firm leadership
  • Organize the annual staff retreat
  • Hire and manage the part-time administrative assistant
  • Manage the employee benefit programs (health and dental, 401-K, and other benefits)
  • Maintain firm policies and procedures


  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Advanced computer skills on Quickbooks, Excel, MS Office, and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant experience
  • Must be nice
