Action Plan

  • Coordinate activation events in Central Florida retirement communities that lacked Verizon customers over the age of 55
  • Conduct market research to identify locally-owned businesses in high-traffic retail, dining and grocery hubs
  • Surprise customers at local businesses by paying for their meal or giving them store gift cards, while promoting nearby Verizon stores and the carrier’s Florida 55+ Go Unlimited plan
  • Organically create Verizon brand ambassadors, who are over 55 and willing to share their ‘surprise and delight’ experience through photos and testimonials on social media

Results

  • Events were held at local businesses in shopping plaza located in Sun City Center near Tampa and The Villages, the state’s largest 55+ community with 79,000 residents
  • In one day, across two cities and four locations, our team interacted with nearly 350 consumers (55 years and older) by doing giveaways, sharing information, taking photos, collecting testimonials, and promoting the Florida 55+ Go Unlimited plan
  • Dozens of customers took photos and talked about their experience at the events, which were then shared by Verizon Wireless on its Facebook and Twitter pages
